Tim Doble: Surviving the Night
“In his part memoir, part self-help book, Doble shares his story of surviving war—and the darkness that follows—to give a voice to those who have been sent by their country into harm’s way and ‘never talk about it.’”

Praise for Surviving the Night
“WOW! I'd like to thank Tim Doble for bringing a perspective on the Viet Nam war that is rarely seen. He takes us on a journey of what it was really like to the people that paid the price for the decisions made by Generals and politicians. It's a very personal account of reality including the struggles after the fighting is over. I honestly could not put it down.”
—David S. Tanji
Surviving the Night by Tim Doble is a powerful and deeply personal account of resilience in the face of the hardship of war. Drawing from his experiences as a soldier in Vietnam—where he was severely wounded—Tim Doble delivers a well-written account that not only details the realities of war but also the long-lasting struggles of PTSD. His narration and writing is raw and honest, while also illuminating his difficult road to healing. Healing that continues to this day. This book is a must-read.
